Maplepods journey for Shark Tank India Season 3 started before Shark Tank India season one even got aired on Screen. Shark Tank India Instagram Profile started with 3000 Followers on Instagram when I first discovered about it. It was an extreme exciting and motivating moment for me. I have been a fan of Shark Tank US Version. Just the thought that now it will also be telecasted in it's Indian version. I was excited as an individual and as an first generation entrepreneur. I started my journey of Maplepods with a self belief and conviction over the vision I had for the Company. It definitely did not start with the thought of providing a Private Space only for Couples. Maplepods vision it to provide an alternative hospitality & entertainment space for the masses in the Public & Private locations. We are neither a Cafe nor a Hotel. However the comparison is natural since that are the two segments we either operate or compete with in the public domain. We are a Pod Company. The word "Pod" is usually renowned with Sleeping or Nap Pod Services. However we at MaplePods believe that the industry for "Pods" is huge. However it is not going to scale just by providing limited Sleeping or Napping services. This is how we change the Game! Maplepods is a Hospitality & Entertainment Company. Our Products are build from the remains of Junk/Scrap Automobiles. Our Marketting & Recycle opportunity is in building products to create a unique "Pod Industry" from the shells of Automobile remains. We Design, Manufacture & Franchise Maplepods. Our Vision is to offer affordable and quality experience based services to students, couples, employers, travellers and families. We believe people value experiences and Maplepods is building a Network of Smart Pods of various categories, sizes and concepts. Unfortunately, my Shark Tank India journey did not go as per my own expectation as well. Maplepods is still early and this I say not as a Founder but as an employers at Maplepods working from past 5 years on this idea. I never felt like not pursing what I was doing from Day 1 at Maplepods. It has always generated results, Sales, Customers, Profits and growth for myself and the company. During the days when I was in Mumbai in the Studio where Shark Tank India Season 3 was shot. I took our biggest Pod from Pune to Mumbai for the Show. Although I had a 3 seater Pod in Mumbai already operating from past 1 Year. But only because it was Shark Tank India and the Crew also suggested to bring a Pod in which all 5 Sharks can sit inside. Honestly, this itself became a challenge for me. Since this particular Pod was not even complete with it's Production, we someone pushed it to look complete for the Show. On the Day when I entered the Tank and saw all 5 Sharks infront of me, Anupam Mittal being himself was trying to know about my product with his gestures, Ritesh joined his hands for Namaste greeting, Aman was looking at me and the Pod at the same time, Namita and Vineeta was waiting for me to begin my pitch. I was nervous, not just because I had a little Script to memorise before I entered the tank or because of the incomplete work in my Product on a National TV. This was happening 9AM in the Morning. While I went back from Studio last night at 3AM and woke up at 6AM to reach Studio at 7AM so I would be on time for TouchUp, Pod placement on the Stage and start my moment with the Pitch that I had received last evening only. My moment in front of the Sharks ended in less than 5minutes. That's how it felt to me until the saw the 16minutes episode. Whatever all the Sharks said about my Product or myself. It only made me realized that I lost my moment only because I was not even prepared for it when it came to me. However, I see all of it as a awakening Call and a lesson for myself. This has only made my Vision for Maplepods only a higher level for the Traffic and Gratification we have received for what we do.
